Mountainous fortifications surround Alt d’Empordà, which is administratively linked to Empuriabrava. Easily recognizable by its point shaped peak, the 1374 meters high Puig de Bassegoda is perfect for family hikes. Hikers will also find satisfaction on the Roc del Pou de Neu, a mountain split over France and Spain.

Sun seekers will rather enjoy discovering the 7 kilometers long seashore, composed of wide beaches like Can Cornes or La Rubina, one of the most famous wild beaches of the Costa Brava. As for the gourmets, they will appreciate the light vegetable and fish-based dishes along with other local delicacies such as stuffed apples.
