It is to the rhythm of the clear waters of the Ebro Delta, on the Costa Dorada, that the city of Deltebre is located. Located in the south of the province of Tarragona, in Spain, Deltebre flourishes in an astonishing landscape made up of lagoons, rice fields and sandy stretches as far as the eye can see.

Deltebre is a privileged place to discover nature, with family or friends, in the heart of the Delta de l'Ebre Natural Park. The largest wetland in Catalonia, it is home to some 343 bird species and more than 500 plant species, including rice, the region's essential product. A good advice : in order to be able to admire all the richness of this park, bring anti-mosquito lotion, these small insects are legion within this wet zone. The Ebro waters the agricultural lands of Deltebre, sometimes creating magnificent misty panoramas, where rice fields and beaches mix. The province of Tarragona offers its visitors a multitude of landscapes to contemplate : make a tour to the Natural Park of the Ports, this superb massif culminating at 1500 meters of altitude renowned for its fauna, its flora and its waterfalls is only 90 kilometers further north of the delta.

Hiking enthusiasts will discover many walking trails : here, nature is discovered on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. Walk along the "Passeig Del Riu", drive along the lagoon of the Canal Vell, climb up to the viewpoint of the dune called "Muntell de les Verges", and finally reach the lighthouse of the beach of Punta del Fangar, built facing the azure sea. Singular and immense, this stretch of sand of more than 400 hectares has served as a backdrop for several films, because of its almost desert landscape and change of scenery.

Along the coast there are many beaches, all with beautiful views of the sea. Quiet and shallow, the waters of Deltebre are ideal for children. During your stay, you will certainly have the opportunity to spend a few moments relaxing on one of the city's beaches : the Bassa d'Arena is popular with fishing enthusiasts while the Marquesa, nestled behind dunes, is ideal for a relaxing break under the Spanish sun. More popular, Riumar beach is perfect for kitesurfing, kayaking and sailing.

Finally, let yourself be seduced by the local cuisine, rich in flavours. Deltebre being an excellent fishing destination, you will easily find in your plates sea bream, eels, mussels, oysters and crustaceans. Duck, artichoke, and (obviously) rice dishes such as paella and "l'arrossejat" will also be on the menus of your hearty meals.
